Job Scope
As a Cook Chef, you will be responsible for preparing meals, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring food safety. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu Review: Check daily menus, assess supplies, and plan food preparation.
- Food Preparation: Clean, cut, portion, measure, and mix ingredients using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Cold Food Preparation: Prepare salads, sandwiches, meat/fruit trays, and other cold dishes.
- Food Monitoring: Monitor food supplies, manage storage of leftovers, and order as needed.
- Cooking & Baking: Cook meals and bake desserts, adjusting standard recipes as necessary.
- Food Safety: Ensure food is cooked, stored, and served at proper temperatures to meet safety standards.
- Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces and utensils.
- Service Delivery: Deliver, arrange, and replenish food in the service area.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a cook is mandatory.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the old care industry is a plus.
- Food Safety Training: Completed a food handler training program with a valid food handler certificate.
