The Whitestone Group is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Toronto. In this hybrid contract role, you will lead business analysis initiatives to assess clients’ business challenges and opportunities, ensuring that technology solutions align with their needs.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
- Lead meetings and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Conduct thorough business analysis to document client requirements, ensuring technology solutions are actionable.
- Promote business improvements through alternative and cost-effective service delivery approaches.
Data Migration and Information Management
- Assist with data migration activities, including legacy extract specifications, data cleansing requirements, and quality assurance testing.
- Emphasize information management within the datasphere, including API integration and data exporting/importing.
Stakeholder Interaction
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather and analyze business needs.
- Prepare and advise on business analysis policies, processes, and best practices.
Documentation and Reporting
- Document business requirements clearly to facilitate I&IT solutions.
- Develop strategies, business cases, and conduct feasibility studies for I&IT initiatives.
- Monitor project progress and report regularly to I&IT management and stakeholders.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years as a Business Analyst with leadership experience in managing stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in data migration activities and information management within the datasphere (API, exporting/importing).
- Location: Must reside in Ontario, Canada.
- Public Sector Experience: Familiarity with public sector operations is a plus.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Information Management principles and practices.
- Experience with various business analysis methods, tools, and techniques, including process mapping and business modeling.
- Understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related regulations.
General Skill Requirements
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Proficient in using Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools for documentation.
