The Opportunity
We are seeking a Mobile Equipment Planner to join our Maintenance Planning and Control Team at Creighton Mine in Sudbury, Ontario. This permanent, Monday to Friday, dayshift role is essential for facilitating continuous improvement in the Fixed Equipment Maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Mobile Equipment Planner, you will:
- Process Adherence: Follow maintenance business processes as outlined in Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC) using approved systems (SAP, Prometheus) and tools.
- Work Order Management: Plan all types of work orders, including systematic and non-systematic maintenance, ensuring work is prioritized by safety and deadlines.
- Backlog Coordination: Manage backlog to keep work orders aligned with safety and efficiency priorities, maintaining updated statuses throughout their lifecycle.
- Scheduling Collaboration: Work with the Scheduler to ensure that planning and scheduling routines are consistently followed.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor KPIs and strive toward achieving plant targets, escalating any budget concerns to management.
- Issue Identification: Proactively identify and escalate critical issues that may affect the work schedule’s success.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key plant stakeholders, including superintendents, supervisors, and crew members.
- Relief Supervision: Provide relief supervision as needed, ensuring safe behavior, professionalism, and teamwork within the crew.
About You
Education:
- Completion of Grade 12 or GED equivalency is required.
- A College Diploma or University Degree in a related industrial field or engineering discipline is preferred.
- Valid Heavy Equipment trade certificate for Ontario is preferred.
- Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) experience is an asset.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with SAP and the Prometheus add-on in a Planner or Scheduler role.
- Minimum of 3 years leading crews.
- Minimum of 3 years in the trades.
