Responsibilities
As a Territory Sales Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Sales Strategy Development: Utilize your sales expertise to create and implement effective strategies for acquiring new customers and growing existing accounts within the greater Ottawa area.
- Relationship Building: Actively pursue relationships with potential clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their energy requirements.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with the Operations Team and the Regional Sales Team to coordinate sales efforts and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify opportunities for growth.
- Sales Meetings: Attend semi-monthly sales meetings to share insights, update the team on progress, and collaborate on strategies without compromising your fieldwork.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and performance metrics to track your progress and inform management.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience in sales or a related field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven B2B sales experience, preferably in the energy or automotive industry.
- Product Knowledge: A commitment to continuous learning about our products and services to effectively communicate benefits to customers.
- Driver’s License: A clean Class 5 driver’s license is required, as you will be traveling within your territory.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs as part of the role’s requirements.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel throughout Canada as needed.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check and provide a driver’s abstract.
- Industry Experience: Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment is an asset.
