Responsibilities

As a Software Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our development processes. Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and tools that help our engineering teams work more efficiently.
  2. CI/CD Pipeline Enhancement: Collaborate with our Cloud Infrastructure teams to improve and expand our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that software releases are faster and more reliable.
  3. Code Quality Assurance: Implement strategies for maintaining high standards of code quality through automated testing.
  4. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in our development and deployment processes, ensuring smooth operations.
  5. Documentation: Create clear documentation for tools and processes to support knowledge sharing and help onboard new software engineers.
  6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with music industry stakeholders and colleagues across North America, contributing to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in test automation, particularly with Python and TypeScript. Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Playwright and Selenium is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in unit, integration, and performance testing tools.
    • Experience in building test frameworks and tools.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD optimization and test automation framework development.
    • Knowledge of Bazel or other build tools and deploying in AWS.
  • Soft Skills:
    • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and delivering better solutions efficiently.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
    • Adaptability to changing environments and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.
    • A genuine interest in the music industry and supporting artists and songwriters.
