Product Specialist at Western Financial Group

Responsibilities

As a Product Specialist, your daily tasks will include:

Program & Product Development (70% of Your Time)

  • Collaboration: Work closely with our Commercial, Farm, and Personal Lines departments, as well as Insurance Partners, to identify and maximize business opportunities.
  • Consultation: Provide key product recommendations to Senior Leaders and consult with NIO leaders on program enhancements.
  • Market Research: Analyze market trends and opportunities to help develop white-labeled products tailored for Western.
  • Presentations: Participate in meetings and lead presentations to internal and external partners as needed.
  • Policy Management: Research and update policy wording to ensure compliance with regulations and communicate any changes to internal teams.
  • Revenue Analysis: Identify trends and opportunities that can lead to increased revenues.
  • Material Development: Create product guides and collaborate with the Communications and Marketing teams to develop internal and external resources.

Administration and Reporting (30% of Your Time)

  • Program Management: Implement and oversee programs and placement services.
  • Feedback Coordination: Gather and analyze feedback on the end-user experience at the branch level.
  • Opportunity Identification: Spot new areas for program development and revenue growth.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Insurance License: A Level 2 Insurance License is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the insurance industry, with 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: A keen ability to identify trends, gaps, and ask insightful questions.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, particularly when working through policy wording and templates.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively present ideas and collaborate with team members.
