Key Responsibilities
- HR Support: Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HR policies and procedures, ensuring fair and equitable application.
- Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations by managing conflicts, disciplinary actions, and counseling management and staff.
- HR Initiatives: Participate in various HR projects aligned with company goals.
- Administrative Support: Assist the Central Service group and provide local support to the US Payroll department as needed.
- Talent Acquisition: Support recruitment processes, including job postings, coordinating job fairs, scheduling interviews, and preparing job offers.
- Onboarding: Host new hire orientations and ensure completion of all onboarding paperwork and training.
- Metrics Reporting: Prepare weekly HR metrics and staffing reports; assist in onboarding program metrics and feedback summaries.
- Liaison with Agencies: Manage temporary agency relationships for temp-to-perm candidates.
- Exit Interviews: Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to the HR Manager.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in communicating and training employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Data Management: Enter and maintain data in the HRIS, ensuring accuracy in records and reporting.
- Social Events: Lead the social committee to organize company social events.
- Job Descriptions: Manage updates to job descriptions and maintain them in the internal system (ETQ).
- Food Safety Awareness: Ensure all employees understand their responsibilities regarding food safety, legality, and quality.
Qualifications
- Education:
- College Diploma or University Degree in Human Resources.
- Working towards a CHRP designation is required.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with ESA, Human Rights Code, OHSA, WSIB Regulations, and other HR-related legislation.
- Experience: 1-3 years in a Human Resources role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent organization and follow-up abilities.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with HRIS.
