Responsibilities
As the Senior Business Partner, Equity and People (IT), your main responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with executive leadership in IT Services to develop and execute a strategic people plan that aligns with business goals.
- Data-Driven Insights: Work with the People Analytics team to analyze key data, providing insights to develop short and long-term strategies aimed at improving the employee experience at Vancity.
- Organizational Design: Assist different lines of business in designing structures and processes that promote agility, innovation, and creativity.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Help leaders create an inclusive work environment that celebrates diverse backgrounds and attributes by collaborating with experts in diversity, equity, inclusion, and reconciliation.
- Change Management: Support organizational restructures and collaborate with enterprise change management for cross-divisional projects.
- Program Development: Partner with Equity & People leadership on program design to support organization-wide initiatives.
- Communication: Ensure that Equity and People Leadership is informed about major initiatives that affect our workforce.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to manage annual position planning and budget maintenance.
- Talent Development: Mentor and develop consultant talent by providing exposure to key initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various functions within the Equity and People division to ensure timely and effective communication regarding key initiatives.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience: Extensive experience providing strategic support and coaching to executive-level leaders, particularly in IT teams and technical groups.
- HR Expertise: Strong background in HR Business Partnering and organizational design within large enterprises.
- Influence: Proven ability to influence across organizations and engage stakeholders to drive transformational change.
- Cultural Impact: A track record of successfully implementing programs that positively affect workplace culture and employee experience.
- Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally within large HR teams.
- Collective Bargaining: Experience leading the collective bargaining process is an asset.
