The Team

Our Product Technology team is dedicated to creating robust and efficient Merchandise Planning technology solutions that align with our business and technology goals. As we expand, we need talented individuals who can help us innovate and enhance our systems. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure that our technology landscape is flexible, scalable, and reliable.

Responsibilities

As the Architect, Product Technology, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Architectural Design: Determine the necessary architecture to deliver Merchandise Planning technology solutions while considering the overall business architecture.
  • Technical Feasibility: Assess proposed solutions to ensure they are technically feasible and adhere to best practices. Align both business and technical teams on these solutions.
  • System Maintenance: Design and maintain the overall architecture of our Product technology landscape.
  • Deployment Practices: Define and implement best practices for deployment that balance speed and stability, ensuring efficient rollouts at scale.
  • Problem Resolution: Act as an escalation point to identify, investigate, and resolve problem trends within the technology landscape.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Proven Skills and Experience: A strong background in documenting solutions throughout the full technology lifecycle, adhering to Aritzia’s high standards.
  • Leadership Experience: Ability to provide technical direction and mentor a team to continually improve solution delivery.
  • Anaplan Expertise: At least 5 years of experience in Anaplan modeling, solution architecture, and implementation. Certification as a Master Anaplanner or Solution Architect is preferred.
  • Retail Merchandise Planning Knowledge: A successful track record in delivering complex Anaplan solutions, ideally within the Retail Merchandise Planning sector.
  • Understanding of Software Lifecycle: Expert knowledge of software and hardware delivery lifecycles, including packaged and in-house developed software.
  • Cloud and Infrastructure Skills: Proficiency in cloud infrastructure, networks, end-user technologies, and platform engineering.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical skills to address complex technical and business requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Experience managing vendor relationships and evaluating third-party solutions.
  • Commitment to Aritzia’s Values: A dedication to learning and applying Aritzia’s business and people leadership principles.

Compensation

The typical salary range for this position is $150,000 – $250,000 CAD per year. The final salary will be based on your skills, experience, and job-related knowledge. We are always looking for top talent, so if your qualifications differ from those listed, we may adjust the role and compensation accordingly.
