CGI is seeking a Quality Engineering Architect to join our CGI-BC team. This role will focus on transitioning traditional Quality Assurance (QA) practices to modern, proactive Quality Engineering (QE) approaches, while collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and implement quality metrics and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive QE Evolution:
Transition from traditional QA to a modern Quality Engineering approach to enhance overall QA maturity. - Team Collaboration:
Serve as the QE evangelist, educating teams on best practices, processes, and tools for quality engineering. - Strategic Alignment:
Work with business stakeholders to align and strategize long-term solutions for test automation, including frameworks, tools, and approaches. - Framework and Tool Development:
Collaborate with the QE Automation Team to drive framework adoption, ensuring consistency and effective implementation across teams. - Quality Metrics:
Develop and implement quality metrics across multiple projects to monitor and improve the QE process. - Process Improvement:
Offer recommendations to enhance the delivery of QE in an onshore/offshore delivery model. - Roadmap Creation:
Develop and deliver a strategic roadmap for Quality Engineering, outlining priorities, initiatives, and milestones.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
Over 15 years of Quality Assurance experience, including 5 years as a Quality Assurance Architect, with a focus on process improvements, tools analysis, and implementation. - Expertise in Agile & BDD:
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and Behavior Driven Development (BDD). - Automated Testing Tools:
Extensive experience with automated test tools in a BDD environment. - DevOps Proficiency:
Experience with Continuous Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Deployment using tools such as Jenkins, Groovy, and Hermes. - Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to effectively articulate solutions and communicate complex software engineering concepts. - Team Collaboration:
Must be an influential, focused, and versatile team player, comfortable working under pressure and adapting to changing environments.
Compensation
The salary range for this role in British Columbia is approximately $65,000 – $150,000 annually, based on factors such as experience, skill set, location, and qualifications.
