Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Analyst, your main duties will include:
- Business and Systems Analysis: Provide analysis services to surgical departments within Fraser Health. Your work will include gathering requirements, reviewing current business processes, and identifying gaps.
- Process Improvement: Map existing scheduling processes in ambulatory settings and design future workflows. Use gap analysis to inform your recommendations for improvements.
- Data Evaluation: Analyze data definitions and business processes related to surgery. You will determine and validate business requirements, ensuring they meet the needs of our healthcare services.
- Technology Implementation: Assess how IT solutions impact current and future business operations. You will lead system upgrades and evaluate the technology’s effectiveness.
- Training and Support: Develop training materials and conduct sessions for clinical staff. Ensure all team members are equipped with the knowledge needed for new processes and tools.
- Collaboration: Work closely with finance and surgical programs to streamline operations. Act as a liaison to resolve any system-related issues that arise.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- A Master’s degree in business, health information systems, health informatics, statistics, analytics, or a related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of recent experience in information systems, data analytics, or business systems analysis, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- A valid BC Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of requirements gathering, business process design, gap analysis, and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with Meditech and/or Surgical Patient Registry systems is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. You should be able to convey complex information clearly and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work well under pressure while managing changing priorities and deadlines.
