Responsibilities
As an IT Security Analyst – Cyber, your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring & Response: Oversee and respond to Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules and policies to protect sensitive information.
- Threat Coordination: Manage multiple security issues and threats simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various business lines, IT support teams, and the Information Security & Compliance (IS&C) Control function.
- Cybersecurity Investigations: Utilize your technical expertise to conduct cybersecurity investigations using various analytical methods.
- Threat Detection: Use existing intrusion detection infrastructure to identify and remediate security threats.
- Suspicious Activity Review: Investigate and analyze suspicious activities, such as phishing attempts reported by clients or bank employees.
- Strategic Initiatives: Participate in initiatives that help shape the strategic direction for security technologies and controls to minimize risks.
- Communication: Simplify complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
Mandatory Skills:
- Experience: Over 8 years of hands-on experience in network security, information security, IT support, or related fields.
- Data Loss Prevention: At least 1 year of experience with Data Loss Prevention methodologies, rules, and policy creation.
- TTP Framework: 2+ years of experience building and running a Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) framework for behavior-based content development.
- Security Operations: 2+ years of combined experience with red team activities (such as vulnerability assessments), compliance consulting, and Security Operations Center (SOC) management.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Networking+, CompTIA CySA, ITIL, or CCNA.
- Communication Skills: Advanced verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Task Management: Proven ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently, while also providing guidance and training to junior team members.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of network principles, cybersecurity concepts, investigation procedures, and adversarial techniques.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience conducting investigations across multiple security technologies.
- Education: Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingualism: Advanced communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a strong asset.
- Additional Certifications: Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CRISC are preferred.
