Black & McDonald is expanding its Southern Ontario Facilities Management Operations team, and we are looking for a Project Manager to oversee key client-led projects and manage our Asset Life Cycle Planning Tool.

Responsibilities
As Project Manager, your key duties include:
- Collaborate with client Project Managers to assist in various project activities.
- Plan and execute projects within agreed timelines and budgets, ensuring milestones are met.
- Build strong customer and supplier relationships to promote competitiveness and maintain positive partnerships.
- Prepare project schedules and monitor progress, identifying and resolving gaps to keep projects on track.
- Manage our Life Cycle Planning Tool by assessing asset conditions, updating statuses, and ensuring accurate cost forecasting.
- Help clients with capital expenditure planning, including annual budget forecasting.
- Oversee subcontractors’ performance to meet Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Conduct regular subcontractor reviews to mitigate risks and correct deficiencies.
- Provide support on other Black & McDonald projects as needed.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management, focusing on HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- 3+ years of project management experience (PMP designation is preferred or willingness to pursue it).
- Hands-on experience with capital expenditure planning tools and processes.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment is an asset.
- University degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a relevant trade is preferred, though a College Diploma with practical experience is also acceptable.
