Building Operator

Colliers is looking for a dedicated Building Operator to join our dynamic team in downtown Ottawa. Responsibilities

In the Building Operator role, you will be responsible for:

  • Daily Operations: Managing day-to-day operations, including water treatment testing, HVAC system supervision, equipment logging, lighting, plumbing, and building automation systems.
  • Customer Service: Delivering top-quality customer service and maintaining positive working relationships with tenants and team members.
  • Emergency Response: Responding promptly to occupant requests and being available for emergencies outside of regular hours.
  • Collaboration: Working with minimal direction and contributing to a collaborative team environment on capital improvement projects.
  • Process Improvement: Utilizing technology to seek innovative ways to enhance operational processes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-5 years of related experience in a commercial real estate environment.
  • Certification: Successful completion of the Building Environment Systems Operator Class 1 & 2.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • License: Valid driver’s license.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to time-critical tasks and emergencies.
