Community Specialist

As the Community Specialist, you will be responsible for executing our store’s community strategy, focusing on building relationships, hosting events, and supporting our marketing initiatives. You’ll work closely with local ambassadors and community partners to enhance our store’s presence as a hub of community engagement, all while providing world-class customer experiences on the store floor.


Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Store Leadership: Work together to implement the community strategy and enhance guest experiences through community foundations.
  • Manage Key Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with local ambassadors, members of our Sweat Collective, and studio partners to increase guest acquisition and retention.
  • Engage with the Local Community: Identify future ambassadors and partners while promoting our store as a community hub.
  • Connect with Guests: Assess guest needs, provide technical product education, and integrate omnichannel programs for a seamless experience.
  • Participate in Community Events: Support and/or host local and regional events to enhance our community presence.
  • Execute Product Seeding: Implement our marketing strategy through community partners and ambassadors.
  • Analyze Community Data: Review metrics and provide insights to store leadership about community initiatives and events.
  • Foster an Inclusive Team Environment: Create a respectful and welcoming atmosphere that celebrates diversity and ensures a positive experience for all team members.

Job Requirements

Eligibility

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Reliable transportation to the assigned store.

Schedule/Availability

  • Work schedule may vary based on store needs, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexibility to accommodate peak times and special events.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year in customer service, community engagement, grassroots marketing, or brand engagement.

Nice-to-Have

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Skills in building relationships with clients, motivating team members, and achieving goals.

Work Environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Pay Range: $19.25 – $22.14/hour (subject to local minimum wage).
  • Target Bonus: $3.00/hour.
  • Total Pay Range: $22.25 – $25.14/hour, reflecting our pay-for-performance philosophy.
