HR Coordinator – Contract at Aspire Bakeries

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Support: Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HR policies and procedures, ensuring fair and equitable application.
  • Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations by managing conflicts, disciplinary actions, and counseling management and staff.
  • HR Initiatives: Participate in various HR projects aligned with company goals.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Central Service group and provide local support to the US Payroll department as needed.
  • Talent Acquisition: Support recruitment processes, including job postings, coordinating job fairs, scheduling interviews, and preparing job offers.
  • Onboarding: Host new hire orientations and ensure completion of all onboarding paperwork and training.
  • Metrics Reporting: Prepare weekly HR metrics and staffing reports; assist in onboarding program metrics and feedback summaries.
  • Liaison with Agencies: Manage temporary agency relationships for temp-to-perm candidates.
  • Exit Interviews: Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to the HR Manager.
  • Policy Implementation: Assist in communicating and training employees on HR policies and procedures.
  • Data Management: Enter and maintain data in the HRIS, ensuring accuracy in records and reporting.
  • Social Events: Lead the social committee to organize company social events.
  • Job Descriptions: Manage updates to job descriptions and maintain them in the internal system (ETQ).
  • Food Safety Awareness: Ensure all employees understand their responsibilities regarding food safety, legality, and quality.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • College Diploma or University Degree in Human Resources.
    • Working towards a CHRP designation is required.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with ESA, Human Rights Code, OHSA, WSIB Regulations, and other HR-related legislation.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in a Human Resources role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
    • Excellent organization and follow-up abilities.
    • Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with HRIS.
