People Operations Intern – Kickstart Your HR Career at AppDirect

Starting in January, this full-time internship (40 hours/week) offers you the chance to contribute to HR operations, support global onboarding processes, and assist with various HR projects. Responsibilities

As a People Operations Intern at AppDirect, you’ll be actively involved in the core functions of HR. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Onboarding Support: Coordinate with different departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, creating an outstanding employee experience.
  2. HR Support: Respond to new hires’ questions about People team processes and systems.
  3. Data Management: Update and maintain accurate records in the HRIS system and other tools used by the team.
  4. Compliance Tasks: Ensure all employee documents, such as tax forms and confidentiality agreements, are completed correctly and on time.
  5. Employee Offboarding: Support offboarding activities by coordinating with team members and ensuring processes are completed effectively.
  6. Ticket Management: Manage the HR ticketing system by triaging requests and addressing Tier 1 support tickets.
  7. Documentation and Processes: Assist in maintaining and updating internal HR documentation, processes, and Confluence pages.
  8. Learning Initiatives: Participate in training logistics and communication projects, such as updating new hire resources.
  9. Additional HR Functions: Collaborate on other HR tasks or projects, including benefits and payroll, as needed.

By contributing to these areas, you’ll gain practical HR knowledge and valuable experience working in a global team.


Qualifications

We’re looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented candidates who are eager to learn and grow in the HR field. Ideal candidates will have:

  1. Educational Background: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  2. Previous Experience: At least one internship or equivalent experience in HR.
  3. Confidentiality Skills: Ability to handle employee data and sensitive matters with utmost discretion.
  4. Organizational Skills: Excellent organization and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  5. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  6. Teamwork & Independence: Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a global environment.
  7. Technical Skills: Familiarity with tools and systems such as G Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and HRIS (e.g., Workday).
