Application Support Analyst

Responsibilities

As an Application Support Analyst, your daily tasks will include:

  • User Support: Assist users of regulatory reporting and trading applications. You will be the first point of contact for resolving issues and answering questions.
  • Process Monitoring: Keep an eye on processes and infrastructure to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your vigilance will help prevent issues before they arise.
  • Incident Management: Track and document incidents and user requests, ensuring they are resolved quickly and efficiently. You’ll communicate with users and other teams to keep everyone informed.
  • Change Management: Participate in Change Management and Release Management processes. This involves planning and implementing changes to applications while minimizing disruptions.
  • Development Contributions: Work within an agile team on development projects. Your input will be valuable in improving our applications and operations.
  • Quality Testing: Execute quality assurance tests, including non-regression and post-deployment testing. This ensures our applications function correctly after updates.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis to support users and identify areas for improvement. Your analytical skills will help enhance our services.
  • Documentation: Produce and maintain application manuals and runbooks. Keeping documentation up to date is vital for team efficiency and knowledge sharing.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Relevant Experience: Experience working in a similar role within a complex information system environment is essential.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Strong ability to structure, document, and share knowledge with team members and users.
  • Monitoring Skills: Familiarity with monitoring and job scheduling concepts to ensure system reliability.
  • Incident Resolution: Experience in handling incident resolutions and user requests efficiently.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • Financial Background: Prior experience in a financial environment would be an advantage.
  • ITIL Familiarity: Basic understanding of the ITIL framework and its application in IT service management.
  • Market Knowledge: A foundational knowledge of financial markets and capital market operations.

Education and Language Requirements:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of French is a plus. Strong communication skills are vital for collaboration with colleagues and partners in the U.S.

Due to U.S. Federal Securities law, candidates applying for this position must undergo enhanced background screening, including fingerprint collection by a third-party vendor selected by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
