Responsibilities
As an Application Support Analyst, your daily tasks will involve working closely with a team dedicated to maintaining the stability of our trading applications. Here’s what you can expect:
- Technical and Functional Support: Provide hands-on support for applications utilized by trading and risk analysts. You will resolve issues efficiently and ensure smooth operation of our systems.
- Morning and Evening Checks: Start your day by conducting a morning check to verify that production systems are stable before the financial markets open. Similarly, perform an evening check to ensure everything is running smoothly before the Asian markets open.
- User Ticket Management: Maintain and manage the user ticket backlog using our ticketing system, Unity. Respond to live production incidents directly from users, applying your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Work alongside the development team to avoid major incidents and enhance the quality of services provided to traders. Your insights will be invaluable in improving our applications.
- Continuous Learning: Embrace opportunities to learn key production support practices and gain financial expertise from experienced professionals within the team.
- Automation Projects: Dedicate time to automate processes using tools like Elasticsearch, Kibana, Scripting, and Autosys to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in your role.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
Must Have:
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience working as an application support analyst.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven Track Record: Experience in delivering continuous improvements and automation solutions.
Competencies:
- Technical Proficiency: A basic understanding of the technology stack that our products are built on is essential. You should be able to write simple SQL queries and demonstrate basic coding skills in a language of your choice.
Language Skills:
- Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in both French and English is required, as you will collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
Background Screening:
- Due to U.S. Federal Securities law, candidates applying for this position will need to undergo enhanced background screening, including fingerprint collection by a third-party vendor selected by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
