Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Lab Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Building and Wiring: Assemble and wire test stations, which can reach heights of 7 feet, and mount optical instruments and high-value equipment (up to $1 million per station).
- Validation Testing: Conduct electrical and optical validation tests, troubleshooting any issues that arise during the process.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the test engineering group to ensure projects run smoothly and meet deadlines.
- Communication: Provide regular updates to your team lead, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Must-Have Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in building and wiring test stations.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting and installing equipment weighing up to 20-30 lbs.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in electrical mounting, fiber connections, PC mounting, and powering/validating stations.
- Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret layout drawings, including those related to equipment, wiring, and fiber.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to provide status updates effectively to the team lead.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following skills will be considered an asset:
- Windows Experience: Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
- Adaptability: Ability to work under tight schedules and adapt to changing requirements.
