Install and Repair Technician

Job Brief

We are seeking an Install and Repair Technician to join our team. This full-time position requires flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts for maintenance work, including being on-call. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.


Roles and Responsibilities

As an Install and Repair Technician, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, meeting and exceeding client expectations.
  • Perform residential and business installations, connections, service additions, and disconnections.
  • Troubleshoot and repair telecommunications issues.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in excellent condition.
  • Travel to and from job locations as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments and work independently.
  • Handle various administrative tasks as necessary.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, you should possess:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in operating hand tools.
  • The ability to lift 50 lbs and use a ladder.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of business analysis, continuous improvement, and team management.
  • A background in the installation and repair of telecommunication services.
  • Ability to travel 2-4 hours to rural communities throughout north/central Alberta.
  • A positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A collaborative spirit and enjoyment of teamwork.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to pass an alcohol & drug test.
  • A valid driver’s abstract.
