Responsibilities

As a Preventative Maintenance Tech I, you will handle a range of responsibilities, including:

1. Responding to Work Orders: Address preventative maintenance (PM) work orders for various equipment, ensuring each task is completed efficiently.
2. Performing Minor Repairs: Carry out minor repairs on equipment, such as hoses, nozzles, fuel filters, decals, HVAC filters, and water filters. You’ll often work outside, including on rooftops.
3. Replacing Equipment: Handle the replacement of ‘plug and play’ equipment as necessary to keep our stores running smoothly.
4. Managing Parts Inventory: Order and manage parts inventory for your service truck to ensure you have the tools needed for repairs.
5. Scheduling Duties: Prioritize and schedule your daily duties and assignments based on store needs and urgency.
6. Completing Reports: Fill out daily reports and paperwork to track time spent and materials used for repairs.
7. Following Procedures: Read and interpret service manuals to adhere to manufacturer guidelines during maintenance tasks.
8. Adhering to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
9. Working After Hours: Be prepared to handle after-hours calls during regular working days and work a rotational schedule covering weekends and statutory holidays.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

1. Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.
2. Experience: No prior relevant work experience is necessary, making this an ideal entry-level position.
3. Skills:
   • Leadership: Show leadership skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
