Key Responsibilities

As a MIG Welder at Roma Fence, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Custom MIG Welding: Perform high-quality MIG welding on various metal components that are essential for fence and gate production.
2. Jig Preparation: Prepare and set up jigs and fixtures to ensure accurate and efficient welding processes.
3. Specifications Interpretation: Read and interpret welding specifications, blueprints, and work drawings to meet production standards.
4. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on welded components to ensure they meet both safety and quality standards.
5. Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain welding machines and related tools, ensuring they function optimally.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you should meet the following qualifications:

• Experience: 4-8 years of MIG welding experience is required, with experience in working with gates or fences preferred.
• Education: A diploma or certification in welding is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in welding galvanized materials and the ability to read and interpret work drawings are essential.
• Certifications: Forklift certification is an asset.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills, including the ability to operate industrial saws and forklifts.
• Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, efficiently managing your tasks.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift weights up to 75 lbs.
